WEEK 8 17-05-2014 TO 24-05-2014 CARP WORLDS 2ND VISIT!

29/05/2014

This week nigel was coming from Carpworld and was bringing his friend Jon to do a reveiw on my fishery. The fish were still spawning on the Sunday and Monday of this week and the weather was looking pretty good  for the week. So I'm sure we would have a few fish this week. There were 6 anglers that wanted "61" this week including Nigel and Jon, so they all drew for it . Nigel and Jon had some unfinished busines as Jon had  lost 4 fish in the snags  and dropped 11, 2 years ago. so he had a point to prove!!!. So the anglers picked their tokens and I could not belive it Nigel picked number "1". So they went back in "61" were they had fished 2 year's back. The week started of slow as exppected due to spawning but the fish soon got back on the feed with fish coming from all over the lake, once again a lot of the fish are falling to double 15mm & 20mm Lipsmacker. Most of the anglers are using between 15 & 20kg of boilies per week with some anglers uping it to 30 to 40kg which for this time of year I think is about right. Top swim  this week was "61" with Nigel and Jon taking 20 fish between them, but only Nigel taking two middle 40's including a 45-00lb common, but I know they lost a few and didn't right them down. Next was the "Point" with steve taking 10 fish to 47-15lb. All Steve's fish were over 30lb+. "M2" took 10 fish to 51-07lbs with Edwin breaking his PB with the 51-07lb mirror. The Boat House is still steady taking 6 fish to 51-08lb with Brain breaking the 50lb mark and taking his PB. Tight squeeze is still taking the biggest fish but only 3 fish this week.  A monster mirror falling to Sean of 56lbs, "Tight squeeze" also took 2 mirrors of 44lbs and 49lbs. "RB's" only took 2 fish including a cracking 41-08lb common and R2 after John moving from Banzais took 2 fish including a lovely 42-04lb common. The Boys ended up with 3 x 50lbs+  6 x40+ and  an average for the week of 35-10lb, they lost a least 3 in the snags and dropped at least 6, but if the angllers don't want to write them down it is very hard for me to have an accurate log what is hooked and what is not!!. It was a great week and I'm looking forward to what Nigel has to write in Carpworld in the next few months. I like to thank all the anglers for respecting my rules and looking after my fish, I look forward to you all returning next year.
