It was a great start to the 2012 season with Dutch and English anglers on the lake.

John was ill all week with a lung infection which we had to take him to the docotrs to get antibiotics. it tokk till Friday morning for him to feel better.

The weather for the week was 0 to 4 at night and 14 to 15 during the day and sunny. The water temp. was 11to 14 at 2ft.

All anglers took fish with 30 fish in total 1 x 50  5 x 40 and the rest of the fish averaging around the 35lb mark.

I think we could have had a few more fish if 2 of the Dutch anglers had moved to R1 & R2 in the east arm where lots of the fish were showing.

One of the English  anglers Vince had his P.B. common at 11-40pm on his birthday, a 41-08 Bar of Gold''welldone Vince''.

I fished on Wednesday night only, and had a lovely 38-06 mirror from the river bed where I'd seen carp showing all week. There are still a lot of fish still held up in the river bed after the winter and are still feeding there.

3 of the angler's had their P.B.'s this week so champagne all round at the BBQ.

I just like to thank all the anglers for respecting my fish and rules, looking forward to them coming back next year.

Next week I have a lady angler Joe on the lake so watch out Boy's.
